The Parents and Friends' Association was formed as a Committee of the Principal in 1998 - the year in which the College welcomed its first students.
The P & F was established with the following aims and objectives:
- To support the College's goals to provide an environment of total care for all students.
- To promote The Springfield College in all its endeavours.
- To provide support for and advice to the Executive Principal in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer of the College on issues that affect the education and welfare of its student body.
- To provide a forum for Parents and Friends of The Springfield College at which they may discuss issues relating to the education and welfare of the student body at the College.
- To engage in fundraising activities thereby contributing to the resourcing of College activities.
- To complement the activities and policy initiatives of the Board of Directors of EDUCANG Limited.
The P & F Association exists through the goodwill and commitment of parents and friends of the College. Examples of this commitment include:
- Assuming an office bearer position within the P & F Executive group;
- Chairing a sub-committee or being an office bearer for a sub-committee;
- Attending and actively participating in monthly general meetings; or
- Volunteering to help at, or organise, a fundraising activity.
