The Springfield College

TAS Sporting Competition

The College has developed an integrated Health and Physical Education program, which combines regular fitness sessions with the development of sporting skills. As the College has grown, so has the level of participation in competitive inter-school sport, which commences in Year Four and continues through the Middle and Senior Schools.

A number of College teams compete in a range of intra and inter school sports including; netball, softball, basketball, soccer, cricket, rugby, athletics, swimming, cross-country, hockey and golf.

The College participates actively in The Associated Schools (TAS) and Junior TAS sporting competitions. Good sportsmanship, a spirit of fair and healthy competition, participation and improved health and fitness and a desire to achieve one’s best are the main priorities of the College’s sporting program.
