Teachers make teaching decisions based on a study of the actual achievement of students in relation to the expected standards and use innovative approaches to the integration of information technology in planning learning experiences.
A teaching and learning framework guides planning and delivery of quality programs involving the development of competence in managing knowledge and developing higher order skills required to adapt to constant change and to generate new ideas and solutions. Children are encouraged to think and reason as well as developing creativity through participation in the creative arts.
In building a learning community the staff are provided with development opportunities and supported professionally in adapting to change and developing new approaches to teaching. Teachers develop shared understandings about best practice and make research based decisions about teaching. The College undertakes regular research and evaluation projects in order to improve on current practice and inform planning and innovation.
