The Springfield College is entering a new and exciting stage of development with a second campus currently being built ready for the 2008 school year. In 2008 students in Years 6-10 will be located on the new Middle and Senior School campus ideally located close to the heart of the Springfield town centre and soon to be developed rail link.
In 2008 the new site will accommodate students in Years 6-10. Over the following two years it is planned that the second site will expand to accommodate students from Years 4 to 12, with students from Prep to Year 3 located on the current site at Springfield College Drive.
The new campus will open with Science, Information Technology and Library facilities located in a state of the art two story facility. An additional eight general learning areas, specialist Art, Music and Industrial Design facilities, as well as Basketball, Netball and Tennis courts all form part of this first stage of development. Plans are also being considered to build an undercover sports and assembly area early in 2008.
The Springfield College is a co-educational Uniting and Anglican Church independent school with a strong emphasis on the holistic development of young men and women. Underpinning this balanced approach to education is an understanding that students achieve their best when they are supported and encouraged in a safe and caring environment and where each student is given the individual attention they deserve.
I invite you to explore this new website and to visit the College. We would be delighted to take you on a tour of this delightful campus and share with you the plans for the development of the College.
